La Barrosa beach stretches along
eight kilometers of fine sand, from the little island of Sancti-Petri to
the tower of El Puerco.
stretch of La Barrosa is a built-up area, with a promenade provided with
all type of services and touristic equipments: bars, restaurants, a
comercial centre, etc; in a second stretch, starting in the urbanization
called “Complejo Atlántico”, La Barrosa is a wild beach.

was created. This beautiful beach is considered one of the best in the
Andalusian coast, due to its fine and clean sand, the clearness of its
water and the beautiful dunes and cliffs that characterize its wild area.

riding clubs, a commercial centre, etc.

Next to this
beach is the area of Sancti Petri, which has a pleasure harbour and
fishing ports, a yatch club, sailing and windsurfing schools, a dry
dock. an infirmary and a ferry service for sea excursions.
The village of
Sancti Petri is now abandoned, but it was the home of a colony of
fishermen. It is not common to visit an abandoned village, that is why
it has a special charm to walk through the streets, imagining how it was
in the past. Some buildings can be still distinguished, as the school,
the Town Hall, the cinema, etc. You should not miss this walk,
